I was leaning back on my bed, jotting down those very lyrics, alternatively humming the tune and making snarky comments about Christian fundamentalists. Dan is running around the apartment with Hideo (incidentally, the guitar player and the dog have similar energy levels–loud, spastic, and endlessly hyper), and they both run in, jump on the bed in an attempt to be playfully social, wrestling with a long piece of rope that my dog pulled out of my toolbox. Chaos ensues.
